故人具雞黍，
邀我至田家。
綠樹村邊合，
青山郭外斜。
開筵面場圃，
把酒話桑麻。
待到重陽日，
還來就菊花。

AN old friend has prepared a chicken and millet dumpling
And has invited me to his home in the fields.
Green trees surround his village on every side,
Blue hills slope away outside the wall.
At the open window the kitchen garden faces me.
We drink wine and talk of mulberry and flax;
Wait till the ninth day of the ninth moon,
I will come again and sample your chrysanthemum wine.
